Cabbage kofte is one of popular dishes in north India.
We will be providing you one more variant of it ,with a healthy twist we are making cabbage kofte healthy for people of all ages.This another dry curry. Already we had shared similar (Lauki kai Kofte ) dish but as curry form.
Cabbage Kofte compliments both chapati/Roti/Phulka and with rice.Remember food look more appetizing when you add more colors.
So let us start preparing one more delicious.
We will be preparing these in three steps
  1. Preparing Kofte.
  2. Preparing Gravy.
  3. Garnish and Serve it.
Step 1  Preparing Kofte


Kofte Ingredients
  1. Cabbage(1 medium).
  2. Onion (1).
  3. Green chili (2-3).
  4. Turmeric powder (haldi) 1/2 tbsp.
  5. Red chili powder 1/2 tbsp.
  6. Coriander powder (dhaniya) 1 tbsp.
  7. Gram Flour (2 spoon).
  8. Rice Flour (1 spoon).
  9. Corn flour 1 tbsp.
  10. Salt to taste.
Preparation Method
  1. Chop cabbage, take a mixing bowl and put chopped cabbage in bowl.
  2. Add chopped onion.
  3. Green chili.
  4. Gram flour.
  5. Turmeric powder.
  6. Red chili powder.
  7. Coriander powder.
  8. Rice flour and salt.
  9. Mix it .
  10. Make kofte (round/oval shaped ball) of mixture.
  11. Shallow fry them in appam maker.
  12. Turn Kofte on other side and wait till Kofte turn into golden brown.
Note: A healthy twist in this dish we can shallow fry Kofte in appam maker.

Step 2 Preparing Gravy

Gravy Ingredients
  1. Onion (2).
  2. Tomato (2).
  3. Mustard Seeds  1 tbsp.
  4. Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp.
  5. Red chili powder 1 tbsp.
  6. Coriander powder 1 tbsp.
  7. Garam Masala 1/4 tbsp.
  8. Ginger (one pinch)
  9. Salt to taste.

Preparing Gravy
  1. Take a pan, put little oil in it.
  2. Add Mustard Seeds.
  3. Add Ginger.
  4. Addchopped onion and stir for 2 minutes.
  5. Add tomato and saute till tomato become soft.
  6. Addturmeric powder .
  7. Red chili powder.
  8. Coriander powder.
  9. Stir it for 2 minutes and add salt and Garam Masala.
  10. Leave it for 10 minutes on medium flame.
  11. After 15 minute put Kofte in gravy .
  12. Add little water and cook for 5 minutes.
Step 3  Garnish And Serve it
  1. Coriander leaves for garnishing and serve it.

Some tips
  1. A healthy twist in this dish we can shallow fry Kofte in appam maker.
  2. Always have fried curries at lunch time , avoid having them in night time.
  3. Always use organic things , that will take your food to another level.
  4. Add enough Gram flour , so that it will help you to bind cabbage and also help cabbage to take oval shape.

But today we will be sharing with you one of my favorite dish which is Dal Bhujia , which is dry curry.
Which had been pass on to me from my mother in law.This dish healthy and Tasty too.
We prepare is easy three steps
  1. Prepare ingredients .
  2. Preparing curry.
  3. Garnish and Serve.


Ingredients:
  1. Methi (1 bunch)(Menthe/Fenugreek )
  2. Yellow Moong dal (1/4 cup)
  3. Onion (1)
  4. Ginger (one Pinch)
  5. Garlic ( 5-6 cloves)
  6. Turmeric Powder 1/2 tbsp
  7. Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  9. Garam Masala 1/4 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste

Preparation Method
Step 1. Prepare ingredients
  1. Chop Onion.
  2. Chop Garlic.
  3. Chop Ginger.
  4. Soaked Yellow Moong Dal 10-15 minutes.
Step 2 Preparing Curry
  1. Take a pan put Little oil in it.
  2. Add Garlic.
  3. Add Ginger.
  4. Add Chopped onion.
  5. Add Turmeric Powder.
  6. Add Red Chili Powder.
  7. Add Coriander Powder.
  8. Add Garam Masala
  9. And then stir it for 2 minutes.
  10. Add soaked dal in it.
  11. Add water and cover with a lid and allow it to cook for 5 minutes.
  12. After 5 minutes add chopped Methi/Fenugreek  in it .
  13. And add salt
  14. Allow it to cook for 15-20 minutes,so Methi /Fenugreek bitterness will go.

Step 3  Garnish And Server
  1. Garnish
  2. Now Serve






Some Tips
  1. Soak Moong dal in water for 15-20 minutes so that it will not remain uncooked .
  2. To reduce bitterness of Methi add salt and allow it to cook for 15-20 minutes
  3. Always have green leaf vegetable and dal in lunch,avoid them to have them in dinner.
  4. Instead of yellow Moong Dal you also use green Moong Dal.
  5. Preparing everything with love.

Methi or fenugreek is a rich reservoir of medicinal properties that imparts many health benefits why you should include Methi in your diet more often.
Lowers blood cholesterol– They are known to prevent the absorption of cholesterol and triglycerides.
Reduces risk of heart disease-Fenugreek plays a key role in maintain your heart health.
It also contains high amount of potassium that counters the action of sodium to help control heart rate and blood pressure.
Controls blood sugar levels-Diabetic must include Methi (either in the form of seeds or leaves) in their diet. A natural soluble fiber present in Fenugreek slows down the rate of sugar absorption into blood.
It also contains Amino acid responsible for inducing the production of insulin.
Aids digestion-As Fenugreek is rich in fiber and antioxidants, it helps in flushing out harmful toxins from the body.
Increases breast milk production in lactating women
Fenugreek ranks high among the ‘must haves’ for nursing mothers. This is due to the presence of diosgenin in the spice which increases milk production in lactating mothers.
Helps reduce menstrual discomfort-Fenugreek contains compounds which help reduce symptoms like discomfort and menstrual cramps associated with PMS. These compounds also ease symptoms of menopause like hot flashes and mood fluctuations. Women are more prone to iron deficiency during adolescence (initiation of menstrual periods), during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Including green leafy veggies like fenugreek (Methi) in your diet can supply a good amount of iron.
